A superb depiction of the divisions that ultimately led to the defeat of the Republican side in the Spanish Civil War. The use of Spanish (and hence subtitles in some sections) just adds to the general feel of authenticity. Gets five stars just for the sheer ambition of having a 20 minute segment, in Spanish, debating the pros and cons of collectivisation.....don't let that put you off, it is utterly engrossing and a reminder of a time when there was a real choice to make about the kind of society people wanted to live in.
