Enjoyable fun but not too filling

Landspeed is one of those American-underdog-does-it movies which is quiet enjoyable in its way. It sees the attempt to reach Mach 2 on land with an all-comers type comeptition. The corporate entry funds the prize, the underdog is allowed to compete and the obligatory international entries show up but are then knocked out, drop out or crash leaving the two American teams.

There are some nice character moments and the racing is quite cool even if the science is the usual dodgy Hollywood technobabble.

In short, an enjoyable (if silly) film that at least does not try to re-write history and claim the Americans did Mach 1 on land first!
