This is not a Larry Carlton/Robben Ford concert as the title would suggest, what we have here is a blues club setting and although the stage is not tiny you have a house band comprising of: two keyboard players, an upright bass player, a drummer, 3 electric guitar players, a blues harp player and a female vocalist, so its a tight fit even before Larry or Robben take to the stage (they only appear on stage together on the final number). In reality rather than a Larry Carlton/Robben Ford concert what you have is either Larry or Robben jamming along as guest soloists on a couple of numbers. The house band is well seasoned and competent but not exceptional, and the Talk To Your Daughter track is not the Robben Ford arrangement in fact Robben only gets to sing a single chorus, and guitar wise doesnt really stretch out. The highlight of the disc is probably the Larry/Robben acoustic jam found in the bonus section. If you want to see how Robben and Larry fare on a Blues Jam this title is fine, but this is not a Larry Carlton/Robben Ford concert thay are just cashing in on the names.
