This is a totally new series to us and it looks very promising. If you like CSI & Law and Order this should be right up your street.
Wasn't sure about this drama but watched disc 1 twice to give it a chance and was glad I persevered. Initially it was all high gloss, females in fabulous dresswear darlings, stories a bit too stage managed however come disc 2 it'd settled down with the actresses in more casual trousers & tops with the script playing it for laughs. The episode where 'big Ed' (James Caan) went 'on holiday to Hawaii' in particular was hilarious. A lot of laughs to be had at his expense also regarding his wayward wild child daughter & his even wilder old codger of a mother ('meet the parents' style) too. The musics cool, lots of shots of the vegas strip, very informative about casino surveillance, all very likeable characters you end up caring for. In short I'd recommend this drama to anyone especially if you're even remotely thinking of heading off there; you end up journeying to Vegas via your armchair and are left salivatin' for more! Roll on series 2 is all I have left to say! (Rating: 3 & a half stars)
