Lead Balloon - Series 4

Jack Dee returns as failed stand-up and serial liar Rick Spleen. Life hasn't got any easier for Rick: his wife Mel is still more successful than him; his writer Marty is still funnier than him; even his home-help Magda manages to be grumpier than him.

In this, the fourth series, Rick's career hits an all-time low - even by his own dismal standards. From public humiliation on live TV to private embarrassment at a Comedy Workshop, it seems that everything Rick touches turns to mould.

It all culminates in a special two-hander episode co-starring Robbie Coltrane who plays a knife-wielding prisoner with a pathological hatred of liars. When Rick is taken hostage in the prison library, it's the perfect storm.
