This DVD doesnt so much as tell you anything interesting about poker but more narrates a stupid 'short film' about a poker academy. I actually bought this DVD for £15 and its worth nothing near that. It has Jackie Degg in it which is a small bonus but at under an hour and no real useful info that you cant get of the internet dont bother

First off, I'll admit that this DVD does indeed teach you the very basics about poker, in a refreshing format.

However when it comes to "advanced" techniques....I certainly didn't see any.

At the start of the DVD it seemed it would be in two parts, the second being a more advanced session but unless I missed an option, I didn't watch any.

Hence if you have played Texas Hold 'em before then there really isn’t anything new for you in this film.

If you’re a complete beginner then I would recommend it.

  • Great introduction to Texas Hold'em

This is a very slick and higlhly prodcued DVD. Very easy to follow with great graphics to explain the action. This is only an introduction though to Texas Hold'em and explains the very basics of the game. Anybody who has played Hold'em in either real life or on the internet will find no benefit to watching this DVD.
