Very few Led Zeppelin performances were caught on camera during the band's life-span, but the footage that has been preserved for posterity is collected here on this 2-DVD set. With a running time of over 5 and a half hours, this collection is the definitive word on Zep's global stage-straddling performances. The footage is .. Read more

Despite only being 24 I have been converted to L Z by the pure brilliance of all the band members.
On this DVD you get to see them all at there best, from Bonzo's solo on Moby Dick to Pages 20 minute Dazed and Confused.
This is alotbetter then the song remains the same as the band members personal sections are not here it is purely archive footage with a few interviews.
Also there is footage from the full spectrum of the ages and styles of the band, from early Albert Hall playings of the blues to Knebworth with Kashmir and Rock and Roll.
There is no better way of spending an evening then having a few drinks and listening to 'Since I've been loving you' on full blast.
Fantastic.
A great archive of one of the best bands of my formative years that I never did quite get around to seeing live. I could watch it over and over again so I have now bought it. Most places ?25 but surf the net and you will find it for ?15.
The Albert Hall gig is a cool stripped-down performance of Zep 1, Zep 2 material, the Zep absolutely bombing along.

Over 5 hours of footage, but what i really would like to point out here is that this video is a Jimmy Page production. He has digitally remastered the audio, and also the video footage. Instead of grainy 1970 blurred shots, you get high definition footage. I think Jimmy Page has got a new hobby, and once again hes pretty good at it.
An extremely powerful film capture of a rock band at its peak.
Over tight trousers, powdery puffy haircuts and cowboy boots do not distract from the power of these amazing performances.
Live on Danish TV is fantastic with a mini crowd of local hippy children sitting cross-legged on the floor as the band assault them with their sensually dirty blues rock.
The Royal Albert Hall show is just unnervingly impressive.
Bang your head in secret whilst your neighbours think you are watching the news!!
Ok so I realise that im not a Zep fan, so I dint expect to fall in love with the group by watching this one video.
Hell, if this is all there was in 1970's then im pleased I became a teenager in the 80's dire, only one group worse than this and thats Guns and roses and cheap clone group.
This DVD like anything else by Zeppelin is fantastic - highly recommended!!!
fell in love with zeppelin about a year ago and this the perfect showcase to the best rock band EVER.
The best of the best.
Shame Pagey didn't slip in any footage from their superb tour in 77, but thats the only critisism. As DVDs go, this has the BEST sound I've heard on any music DVD ever. The DTS track will make your lawn die. To think the footage is 28-37 years old is incredible too. Page was always the master producer - this is his finest work and a year well spent.
All other DVDs pale into insignificance by a long chalk. This is how ALL music DVDs should be done - so why aren't they?
We miss you Bonzo - at least others can now see why. Knebworth still seems like months ago - we never thought that would be the last time you'd grace the UK.
Buy it, steal it - or rent it if you must - you just NEED to see this, even if not a fan previously.
This was just what we (the fans) needed to replace the atrocius 'TSRTS', which was ruined by the boys playing too fast, out of sync and often out of tune, shame as they are excellent musicians when sober (?!), so it was good to get a dose of this. Shame the concert in Copenhagen wasn't included as the artistry of Page and co. is truly brilliant on that one. All the songs are well done here and their unique on-stage improvisation and musical explorations are truly riveting - from this collection the echoes in the music of U2, all heavy metallers of the 80's, even punk (and Spinal Tap too admittedly) is evident as Led Zep were very original (once past their excellent, though contrived R'n'B beginnings) and most influential. What a remarkable group they were, true heavy rock legends without equal - loved this compilation.
