    H = How on earth have i not turned this off yet?!?!

    really boring film which has several underdeveloped plot holes but does deliver a fair twist at the end despite it seeming highly highlt implausable and possibly even impossible....

    oh yeh and its poorly acted by more than half the cast, by far the worst korean film iv seen

    Wet & Dark

    This film has an underlying plot similar to Silence of the Lambs but with a twist. There is an overall dark feel to the film enhanced by the sulky characters and the stylish cinematography. Its not fast paced by any means and relies on the atmosphere to draw in the viewer. If you like Asian cinema anyway then this is easily watchable. If its not normally your bag, overlook the subtitles and the fact that the dialogue loses something in translation. There are definately worse films about.

    H = More Miserable Cops

    Another solid South Korean cop/psycho thriller that will no doubt be compared to 'Silence Of The Lambs' and 'Seven' due to the similarity in mood and the underlaying darkness. A typical slow burner with some extremely gory moments, this one holds your attention effortlessly through to the twist ending, which is implausible but doesn't spoil the film. The one thing I love most about these South Korean cop thrillers is that the detectives are always so relentlessly miserable.

    A little like Saw and Seven

    Excellent thriller with lots of graphical detail. The moral of story is a little like the Saw and the actual film overal is like Seven. If you liked those films, you are bound to like this one. Great twist at the end too.

    Slow burning chiller that manages to keep you tense.

    'H' is a not an action packed thriller and it's not a horror either. However it's tense and gritty story manages to keep you watching. It tells the story of a policeman hell bent on catching a copycat killer who is going around killing women who are pregnant with plans to abort the baby. With no new leads, the police are forced to see the original killer inside prison. If you have read reviews or heard about the storyline then you know exactly what's happening and nothing will come as a surprise.'H' is a must see movie for any fan of the Korean wave as it is an essential movie in debates.

    Silence Of The Lamb's It's Not....

    I was really looking forward to 'H' but it was poor. I find alot is lost in translation when films are subtitled. Korean is a language which is obviously difficult to literally translate but the acting was woeful and it just seemed strange watching Korean people randomly swearing for no reason. Maybe they all aquired 'Tourettes Syndrome'.

    The film centres around a convicted killer who is on death row. There are a spate of copy cat murders and the cops decide to enlist the help of the incarcerated man (hence the comparisons to Silence Of The Lambs). The film has quite a neat twist at the end and the last 15 minutes are quite good.

    Overall it is at best mediocre and never quite shocks enough. The classical score is beyond ridiculous.

    If you want to indulge Korean cinema see 'OldBoy'!! Now That is a good film!

    Twist and turns

    None of your usual chase and beat them up, cops are investigating a sting of murders committed by a guy already in jail. Not much comedy, but an excellent plot and story. Worth watching if you don't mind reading the subs. Leaves you with lots of talking material.

    avoid this film at all cost

    This is supposed to be an intelligently made film, the only intelligent thing that you can do is not to rent or buy this film. In their trailer they make this out to be an intelligent, terriost film. I will never know how the hell they can flog this film as a terrorist film I will never know.
