Stephen Lang, usually cast as the baddie, gets to play a more heroic role in this well played but unsurprisingly predictable little chiller, supposedly based on a real-life story. He plays a man who is convinced that he has become possessed by some unseen evil spirit, a dark force that may compel him to harm his own family. The Cosby Show's Phylicia Rashad is one of the other familiar faces on display, but ultimately director Michael Kennedy takes the whole affair far too seriously. The Amityville Horror was a lot more fun.
Average predictable horror, with an average storyline.
