Brandon shows he really was a chip off the old block in this typical B grade actioner. A bit cliched, but still watchable. It is interesting to see Brandon in Kung Fu action - not that he gets to do that much in this first starring role. He does get to fight Bolo Young, one of Bruce Lee's appononts from Enter The Dragon.

Brandon improved with each film, really getting to show his stuff in Rapid Fire. Jump straight to that, or get The Crow for 5 star Brandon action.

  • MUST-SEE for old-skool kung-fu film lovers!

I had this movie on VHS when I was a kid and it was awesome..I hadn't watched it for a few years and thankfully found&rented it on LOVEFiLM and let me tell you: it is STILL awesome!

Briefly, its about Brandon being framed by his best friend, Michael, who murdered a crooked anti-drugs squad lieutenant. By the time he finishes his sentance, his fiancee (who is preggers with his kid)gets kidnapped by Michael, so Brandon and his and newly made friend 'Four-Eyes' stock up on firearms and seek vengance! Movie contains a satisfying amount of old-skool blood,guns,kung-fu fighting and is amusing as you watch Brandon pull some legendary Bruce Lee-type faces. The movie is dubbed and you will enjoy it if you are into that 80's sorta Kung-Fu film.

P.S. Features Bolo Yeung(Enter the Dragon,Double Impact)as his typical roll as a villain.

I decided to give this another look as I was having a Brandon Lee phase. This is a passable actioner that could have been better with a tighter control on the acting. Brandon is passable, showing some natural screen presence, but so many of the supporting cast are like cardboard cut outs. Michael Wong is particularly poor considering his past experience. I still feel that the fight choreography is fine as it stands, but there is just not enough of it. Especially towards the end this could have done with more fight action and less gunplay. Brandon does improve with every film, so keep watching.

  • First foray into films

This was Brandon Lee's first full foray into films, following his dad's legendary career. It is clear to see the differences between this film and his later work but it is still enjoyable.

How tragic that Brandon, like his father, was cut down in his prime. A most tragic accident and one that robbed the industry of a potentially great star.
