A very much abridged version of Victor Hugo's epic.
This is much better than the version with John Malcovich and Gerald Depardeu which was true to the novel but bombed as a movie.
Neeson plays the lead role 'Jean Valjean' expertly and Rush plays 'Inspector Javert' likewise.
In short, this is a beautifully acted, very moving story that will stay with you for some time.
