Bullet-proof monk meets Jackie Chan
By papatez (295 reviews) from folkestone , 11 Jan 2013It's a comedy thriller but I suspect that English folk will find it as difficult to understand the Chinese sense of humour as they would ours. That's not really helped when you have listen to jokes through subtitles. Having said that, it was hard to turn off and I stuck with it to the end (over 2 hours of it) and was glad that I did so in the end. Worth a watch, but you have to work at it a bit in places.- Was this review helpful to you?

More cat and mouse than hard action
By itstinks (681 reviews) from North of Reading , 22 Oct 2012A brigand pretends to be the Governor of a town and gets into a battle of wits with the local crime lord.
There's a lot of oneupmanship to catch each other out with the occasional gun fight inbetween but overall I was left a bit unsatisfied.- Was this review helpful to you?
