A succession of violent set pieces substitutes for narrative and character in this increasingly cynical series.
Not the best of the four films, but it still holds your attention throughout. The movie however slows down to a crawl for 20 minutes in the middle of the film.
Mel Gibson is great in this, he is funny and I have watched all of these. I enjoy watching them again when they come on tv!
