Does anyone remember Lethal Weapon 1, With the moody almost suicidal 'loose cannon cop ' played by Mel Gibson ? Well that caracter died along time ago , now he is happy with a women how hasn't died within 5 min of meeting him and just takes the mikey out of his partner ! Chris Rock and Joe Pesci add to the comedy with Jet Lee providing the Action ... better than 2& 3 .

Lethal Weapon 4 sees Riggs and Murtaugh fighting triads engaging in human trafficking. I think the problem of human trafficking is just as important, just as serious a crime, as the earlier films, but it doesn't create as tight a plot as the first 3 films. Jet Li is a great villain in it, and provides a more than even match for Riggs when it comes to their one one one fight. Joe Pesci comes back, and is still funny and entertaining. This film still has some fun action sequences and I do enjoy it, but this isn't the best film of the LW series. In fact, it's the worst. Although there are worse sequels than this! If you've seen the first 3 films and enjoyed those, and are curious to see what this one's like, give it a watch.

You can't go wrong with Lethal Weapon. Gritty, funny and action-packed - you are guaranteed explosions, absurd car chases and painful fighting scenes. I enjoyed it but it was nothing special, probably not as good as the first two films. The main reason for this is that Riggs is no longer as refreshingly insane; he's getting old, hardly a Lethal Weapon any more! Therefore his uniqueness has gone and the whole thing is more of a comedy, milking the proceeds of the first three films. They probably should only have made the first three.

The rating relates to Love Film and NOT the film. Although I have seen all 4 Lethal Weapon films in the past, it was a long time ago and I wanted to see them all again for old times' sake. However, in true Love Film fashion, I put all 4 films into my rental list and they sent the 4th one first !!!!!!!! DERRRRRRRRRRRRR

Didn't even bother watching it before I returned it ....
