    Great Entertainment

It had been a while since I last saw this and in that time I had forgotten just how good this film is. If like me you are looking for a piece of pure entertainment then you cannot go to far wrong with this. The pacing of the film is perfect, always providing something to keep you watching when it threatens to slow down too much. The action sequences still hold up today with a plot which moves on nicely. This film is by no means perfect but the central performances far outweigh any slight plot holes. The first and best of the Lethal Weapon series.

    Beginnings of a classic series

I've always loved the lethal weapon series and can recommend this one without hesitation, the banta between Gibson and Glover cannot be beaten and it's clear why they decided to make so many more of them, these guys work so well together. The action is all there as are the gags and the story line so if you want a fun film that won't force you to think too much then go for it.

As for the directors cut, there are a few extra scenes that I've never seen before, such as the suicidal attemts from Gibson to kill a sniper, so by going for this version you do get more than the average version shown on TV.

Without a doubt, one of the best on-screen duo's for comdedy and action, culminating in one of the best series of films ever (well, in my eyes anyway)

Mel Gibson's son Will is dealing with his parents' divorce by throwing himself into charity work in Africa. Gibson announced earlier this year (09) that his 28-year marriage to wife Robyn was over and it later emerged the actor was dating Russian singer Oksana Grigorieva, who subsequently revealed she's expecting the Lethal Weapon star's child. And now, according to a National Enquirer report, 25-year-old Will Gibson - one of the actor's seven kids with Robyn - has fled to Africa to escape the Read more
