In this hilarious comedy, Jim Carrey stars as ruthless lawyer and compulsive liar Fletcher Reede, who misses his son's birthday party and is cursed to tell the truth for 24 hours. Carrey's frenzied physical and vocal contortions provide lots of amusing comic moments, as well as a few riotous ones, and the role is not only tailor-made for his rubber-faced antics but also gives him an opportunity to show a more human side. His bravura performance is reminiscent of Steve Martin's body battle in All of Me, as he hurls inadvertent insults and digs himself into an abyss in the middle of a big divorce case.
A comedy that merges Carrey's now familiar frenetic mugging with some gruesome sentimentality; soft-centred slapstick is not a pretty sight.
Lair Liar is another genius performance by jim carey. A father, that misses everything family related so that he can futher his career but always has an excuss, misses his sons birthday but that is the last straw. His son makes a wish on his birthday candles "i wish for one day my dad cant tell a lye" laughter and fun to follow. If you want a laugh get this film
very funny, loved jim carey

Yes Man isn’t going to figure in any top ten lists or Oscar prognostications, but it takes a simple idea and runs with it, reminding us how Carrey became such a big star in the first place. Carl Allen... Read more
