(9)Life Begins - it sure does!!
By Judy Brinton from Midlands, England , 14 Oct 2006For those that want the ins and outs of family life without the pressure of it being THEIR life and the associated problems then this is the DVD for you. Follow Caroline Quentin and Alexander Armstrong and their two teenage children as they cope with impending separation, adolescence, affairs and the diagnosis of Alzheimers, money worries and jobs taken and lost and you have compulsive viewing from the 1st to the last of this series.- Was this review helpful to you?

Caroline at her best
By a customer from just outside London, England , 28 Sep 2006This is a really good drama. About a woman starting again after her husband suddenly ups and leaves. With two kids she quickly gets a job and trys to keep going. Its a great drama with a little comedy mixed in. Acting is good and the music works well.
Have not seen the 2nd season yet. Does anyone know why its delayed in DVD release?- Was this review helpful to you?

Excellent and funny
By a customer from North Finchley, London. , 10 Jan 2006I like anything Caroline Quentine is in and this one is as good as the others. I missed the tv series and had to rent it after listening to people at work talking about it. A middle aged woman who thinks her marriage is going smoothly only to leave for holiday and him to drop the bomb shell he wants a divorce. The wife is left to fend for herself and obtain employment and how the story follows on with work and her personal life. Excellent and worth a watch.- Was this review helpful to you?
