Soundies from the 40s

Giving a rating for this type of DVD - a collection of pre-MTV soundies of stars and hits from the 40s is tricky - this isn't a movie and your reaction is going to depend on whether you are interested in this era of music. If you are, as with others in the same series, you get about 30 classic performances, which you can select from an index. But if your music tastes run elsewhere, this disk will not convert you. It would be nice if Love/Tesco were to provide a track-by-track listing of this and similar DVD collections - at the moment you simply have to rent to find out what's on each.
