Magic!
By Alicia Monroe from Cheshire , 03 May 2007[Highly rated reviewer]
Loved this TV series and i'm so glad it's on DVD now,
It's entertaining and at times tear jerking drama. A seemingly realistic view of life at this time, through the eyes of a catholic liverpudlian family.
Lovely to spend a sunday afternoon with, this will be your guilty pleasure- not exactly very cool but enjoyable anyway!- Was this review helpful to you?

By a customer , 26 Nov 2011Wasn't sure about this film at first, never heard of it.
LOVED it !! Finished the first series, then a second came, couldn't wait to watch it. Then to my surprise a third arrived. Sadly it was the final series.
Loved the characters, moving, funny, sometimes hard to watch, what a hard life this family led. A real insight into the poverty, of the time.
Well worth watching- Was this review helpful to you?

Superb
By a customer from Machynlleth , 14 Nov 2008I watched 'Lilies' the first time round on the BBC; and it has not disappointed the second time round. The Irish/Liverpudlian Moss family - Dadda and the boys are Orangemen, and proud of it - and the girls are Catholic [as was their mother] - are exuberant, and above all, are FAMILY. This is the theme that continues through the series; as is the fact that they love each other and are there for one another. It was such a shame the BBC never commissioned a second series - there are so many threads that could have been continued.- Was this review helpful to you?
