If there was a drug that would make you the best possible version of yourself, would you take it? That's Bradley Cooper's choice...

Fairly goodBy Ozor (92 reviews) from Essex , 21 Mar 2011
[Highly rated reviewer]The movie starts off pretty slow, with the main character down in the dumps and failing at life he is given an oppurtunity, take a drug and become a man far greater than what you are now, or leave it and rot. Of course we all know he does take and that's where the movie picks up, the plot take a boost and it becomes really enjoyable for a while.
It's not a bad movie by any means but the way it ended left me a little dissapointed. They just skip a massive time phase and it feels like the writers couldn't think of a decent way to cap this off so they just hashed the end together.
Worth a watch, a rent, but not a buy.

Limited and pointlessBy GordonVader (118 reviews) from Emerald City, oz , 12 Jun 2013
[Highly rated reviewer]This film highlights a lot of what is wrong with our society... Our hero finds a drug which turns hm into a uber genius and does what?............................................. ......................Does he find the cure for cancer?, iniate ceasefires between warring factions? Does he solve world poverty?.......................................... .....................Wel no, he bangs every thing that moves, gets himself a fat stack of cash and plays scarface with the Russian Mob... Such a waste of a concept this film actually made me sick...
Love it....By davegreg (5 reviews) from Stockton , 28 May 2013Rented this film a couple of times now. It's not a slow film at all in my opinion, I think it's an interesting storyline, and I actually get a buzz when I watch it!
Certainly worth a watchBy tomparskate (1 review) , 21 May 2013This film combines drugs and violence in a nice manner and kept me eager to watch on. It was fast paced and one of the best films that I have seen. I could not recommend this film enough!
Limitless by name, limited by natureBy Cashplays (47 reviews) , 02 May 2013An interesting little film that has some good ideas but doesn't really know what to do with them. It's a simple enough story about the rise to power of a drug addict only the twist is that the drug in question is a 'learning drug' of sorts. Pop one of these and you can learn a language in minutes, discover the secrets of the universe by extrapolated matter analysis in a day, see the patterns in the stock market and make millions in an afternoon and other silly stuff like that. It's a good but limited idea. The script is so so, as is the acting and Robert De Niro seems to have been a last minute 'hey we had better put a big name in to get the punters interested in it' choice. Several story threads are started and then forgotten, random elements pock mark the whole film and an ambiguous ending give the whole thing a frayed edge feel. like the film makers decided on one story then changed their minds several times during the shooting and editing process. It's not terrible but not great.
was awesomeBy xArualx (3 reviews) , 10 Apr 2013Loved this movie! thought it was great, enjoyed the story line, wanted to keep watching! The ending is different from what is in the book so if you have read it there will be a change lol
