Has any other film attempted to portrary the complex emotional minefield of raising a child in prison? Probably, but I haven't seen them. 'Lion's Den' is important because of the uniqueness of the story we are shown.

The lead character takes you on an emotional journey with her into the world of an Argetinian women's prison. The film felt like a considered attack on the inherent sexism of the Argentinian penal system, but, first and foremost, it is a portrait of a voiceless woman's life.
