So many people are raving so much about Little Britain. Quite why this is I do not know.
If this is meant to satirise communities in Britain, they must be places I have never seen and people I have not yet met. Knowing several gay people and a few transexuals, I can't see any of what Little Britain mocks in these people. It isn't funny, it's irritating.
Vicky Pollard is another irritating character with roots in a very questionable reality. Working for an organisation which often deals with inner city people this is something I have yet to see.
One star for Tom Baker's voiceovers and Ruth Madoc saying naughty words. Funny this is not.
Its so much better than the second series. The characters are more varied, some very ordinary and some completely surreal, but the situations provide the comedy as much as the characters do. Emily Howard works better alone in situations like being asked to give a push to a broken down ice cream van and inspite of herself (himself), being able to fix the engine. Also the extras are great. Rock profile is completely unique and really shows off how well David Walliams and Matt Lucas work together
