This is a great film for the kids, however it is in Japanese audio with subtitles. An early film from the people that brought us Studio Ghibli and films like Spirited Away, Castle Of Cagliostrio and Castle In The Sky. Not as good as the later titles, but everyone has to start somewhere, but remember that the film was made in 1967 and the standard of animation is ten times better than anything you see now on the kids channels. Give it a try, you might be surprized.
As aficionados of the genre my nippers were really looking forward to this, however it is subtitled and there is no option to play a dubbed version. It didn't bother them too much though as their father was selfless/ stupid enough to read the whole thing.
It is of a type with Princess Mononoke and the like and if you liked them you will like this, however it is a kids film, not an adults film. I would not recommend it for an adult, but I would for a nipper, as long as they are prepared to put up with subtitles. In the end my four year old, in particular, loved it, but he has quirky tastes!
