Great start, disappointing after

Starts off very creepy. got too the point where me and my girlfriend were really excited and talking about just how scary it was going to be when it kicked off, but it never really happened. When the Vampires started killing it just seemed a bit ridiculous.- Was this review helpful to you?

Just that it bored the pants off me. It tried to be all ghostly, supernatural and cerebral; and failed on all of them. It had a few nice gory touches, but certainly not enough to keep you interested. Lazy & Meaningless
By buntarler (1 review) , 29 Apr 2013After a promising start with some dark & beautiful visual imagery, I hoped there might be an interesting & frightening story unfolding - there wasn't: the plot just wanders off into nothingness & it's not saved by the 'bog standard' gore which I'm guessing is what has given this film it's ridiculous 18 rating. Some critics have praised this film as a deep, dreamlike masterpiece but I don't think that because something is French & makes no sense it's necessarily a work of art.- Was this review helpful to you?

give it a wide berth
