giving it up
By john reardon from london , 17 Oct 2004[Highly rated reviewer]
I am not a lover of foreign subtitled films, but I gave this a go because of Salma Hayek. But the annoyance of having to read the lines and follow the contrived plot proved to much for me and I gave up a third of the way through! This indeed soon proved to be only a vehicle for the lovely ms Hayek and little else. I found myself not caring a hoot what happened to the main character. Only rent this if you have a high tolerance of subtitled movies and are ardent fan of ms Hayek!- Was this review helpful to you?

Good concept and a nice film but not a patch on hollywood
By Dan Acharya from London town , 23 Nov 2004Great concept. Good actors too, but slightly cheesy humour in places broke the suspended disbelief. The actors had real presence and at times you wished they had been pushed a little further.
Mind you, a good first film from a TV director. Overall, a light hearted drama thriller that isn't a TV movie.- Was this review helpful to you?
