This film is about the rat race, and about the simpler things in life. It is portrayed in a way that is nostalgic and humorous. There is an incredible contrast between Houston and its hustle and bustle, and the remote Scottish fishing village where the film is set. The main story is brilliant, and there are a host of sub-plots going on in the background. A wonderful film, my favourite of all time (so far!).
