Although the movie was fantastic those who think the TV series might follow in it's genius footsteps will be sadly wronged. The script, even though very well written, was just not of a good enough standard. The humour from the original movie was missing along with the signature classic music. In fact the only decent bit of music is the theme tune with the brilliant Ocean Colour Scene. Some of the stories were a little confusing and some had no point at all. The best one was the last story revolving around the prison. Generally this series had it's moments but unfortunately no where near as good as its film counterpart.
