Once among America's most successful box-office performers, Chuck Norris is now one of TV's highest-paid action stars for his role in Walker, Texas Ranger. He sticks to pretty much the same formula here in a story co-written by his brother, Aaron. It's a no-nonsense revenge thriller with plenty of bruising fight sequences and even more corny dialogue. Accepting his advancing years, Chuck passes the buck to Eddie Cibrian, who stars as an army ranger out to avenge the family murdered when he was a child. But, naturally, it takes Chuck's savvy to bring him back alive. Primordial, but professional.
