The talking baby concept had been exhausted by the first two Look Who's films, so the makers moved on to animals for this second sequel. However, even the presence of two new big-name stars Danny DeVito and Diane Keaton couldn't breathe life into a tired formula. John Travolta, still a year away from Pulp Fiction, and Kirstie Alley go through the motions again as the bickering couple, while DeVito and Keaton providing the voices for two dogs from different sides of the tracks snap away in similar fashion. Despite the accomplished playing of the cast, good gags are thin on the ground.

    • Radio Times
  • Direly unamusing sequel in a series that ran out of momentum halfway through the first film; the dogs get the best lines, but even they should complain to their agents.

    jJust as funny

Being a fan of the Look who's talking films I had to see this and I am pleased to say I wasn't disappointed.

If you enjoy the Kirsty Alley, John Travolta pairing and love animals to boot then you will enjoy this film. If not then its still worth a watch jif only for the wise craking jipes by Danny DeVito who makes a great hound. For us the whole family enjoyed it enough to go out an buy the set.
