Before renting this out I read all the reviews for this movie but as most of them were very negative I thought for once I would watch this movie with an open mind Gosh what a mistake. The movie starts off really dull and cheap, I am not a fan at all of the camera lens that is used in this movie, it's like watching a movie on Channel 5. The acting is really poor even Corey Feldman doesn't do any justice to this movie. The first LOST BOYS was much better and a classic in my books, I had to stop this movie half way through as it became so dull and boring, my advice to you if your into cheap horror then watch this otherwise STAY WELL CLEAR.
I was addicted to the original Lost Boys and think it is one of my most watched films of all time so was really excited when I heard this film was coming out. Unfortunately the only plus points about the film were the bits relating to the original movie for instance Edgar Frog (Corey Feldman) some of the props and the Intro Music. The story line needed to be a lot more unique as it was basically the same type of story as the original but with actors that did not have the same presence as the original film. Lost Boys the Tribe is a little more gory than the original but as horror films go it's pretty lame. If you are were an avid fan of the original you will want to see it to feed your curiosity but unfortunately I think you will be a little disapointed!
was pretty good considering it was a sequel
the only thing i can say is to carry on watching after the titles start going up ...what a shock surprise any one who watched the 1st one will get ......
The Lost Boys was a B movie classic, full of amusing one liners, entertainingly OTT direction and inventive gore. This sequel is a Z movie stinker, weighed down by duff dialogue, flat direction, unimaginative gore and terrible actors (to give you an idea, one of the main actors is a guy called Angus Sutherland whilst Corey Feldman comes across like Marlon Brando compared to the dreary brother-sister leads and the 'and I was like, dude, talk to the hand' surfer vampires...yes, there are surfing vampires in this movie and, no, there is no obvious reason for this). Not even enjoyable in a so bad it's good kind of way. Just bad.
So 21 years after the legendary Lost Boys, Warner Bros finally decide to give the people what they want, and produce a follow up. Was it the worth the wait?
No.
It's more Buffy The Vampire Slayer than the Lost Boys. The acting is dreadful, they even use some of the exact same lines from the original movie.
There is genuinely nothing redeeming from this sequel. It should have just been left alone.
Warner Bros have basically made a very cheap vampire movie, knowing that it will make them a shedload of $$$ through the curiousity of everybody that loved the original.
Depressingly bad.

Do not expect another cult classic vampire movie in the same league as the first Lost Boys from the 80s....this sequel is by no means as good. BUT if you are a fan of vampire horror and don't mind a bit of humour thrown in then you should enjoy this all the same!
The story is much like the first one, but who cares about the story when you've got such bizarre and funny characters such as Corey Feldmans 'Edgar Frog', who is all grown up now but hasn't changed a bit. Same clothes, same voice, some hatred of vampires!
Sit back and enjoy the funny side of this and do not take it seriously. Nice and gory and full of bite.

This film was a total let down. I loved the original lost boys. I struggled to actually watch the whole film. What a waste of a rental.
Pretty awful, why cant the vamps win for a change?
hhhhhmmmmm. i don,t know what to make of this. i loved the 1987 original because of the characters in it. but the sequel is let down by shallow characterization and a very long dull middle play. the end is all very quick and it,s disappointing to see the head vampire dispatched so easily. loved the gore, one or two nice touches also (shower scene) but overall a massive opportunity missed to make a good follow up to the first movie.
