This is a short movie, which still manages to sag in the middle. Despite this there is much to admire in this tale of two children who find a statue of a wooden goddess and journey through time before becoming parted. Rollin, with few resources, manages an impressive meditation on aging and death. Other viewers feel free to disagree.

Included are two early shorts by Rollin - the far country (le pays loin) and jaundiced lovers (les amants jaune). Interesting to see how he started but even at 15 min and 10 min respectively you may be looking at your watch. Les amants jaune probably the best.

And if that's not your bag there are some Jess Franco trailers.
