Cinematic, lavish, shock-and-awe television
I too bought this on region 1 from america and it is good, but not that good. I honestly dont think they know where they are going with the plot. I think most will be made up as they go along. The region 1 release was the complete series for about £32.00. Yet they release the region 2 version in two halves each costing about £28.00, (do the maths). We should not stand by and get ripped of like this. Rent the series first and if you enjoy enough buy the complete 24 episodes on region 1.
Arguably the best series pilot I've ever seen. Watching this, you can understrand how the series was commissioned based on such high production values and excellent charactarisation by a fine crop of young character actors that'll leave you gaggin' for more.
A surprise at every turn, playing out beautifully as the island leads these castaways a merry dance that'll leave you with the feeling that all's not what it seems and that there's plenty more in store for these strangers in paradise.
