Dont get LOST and heres why.....
By luke1984 (8 reviews) from colwyn bay , 03 Apr 2009[Highly rated reviewer]
LOST was only intended to be a one off series, but due to huge poplularity and high ratings ( deserved at the time - it was good ) producers decided to keep it going as long as possible.
Unfortunately this meant the witers - by their own admission didnt know where they were going with the story and just made it up as they went along. The result being during series 2 the plot became ever more complex and bizzare and the hope that the viewer may have of had of finding any satisfactory answers asked during series 1 diminished.- Was this review helpful to you?

(9)has too many annoying flashbacks
By ClaireDior (33 reviews) from Kilbirnie , 12 Jan 2013I haven't see the whole thing yet, I am only on the second disc. It is a great series but I am beginning to get annoyed with it already, I simply hate things that keep doing flashbacks, I am interested to see what happens to them on the island. But I am not in eh least interested in who they are or how they got there, it is the mystery of the island that is interesting. I have never liked anything that does flash backs but it is starting to look like half the whole series is used up by these silly flashbacks. I wish there was a version of this series with all these flashbacks omitted. Also I find these things confusing, I never understood why film makers today, think it is a great idea to make a story starting int he middle and go back and forth from past to present day without any warning like for example it does not say '2 months earlier' etc..it just jumps to the same people somewhere else and I m sitting thinking WTF? IT is a good series it is just one of my pet hates watching anything...flashbacks...I just wish they would start at the beginning and finish at the end, it would make a whole lot more sense. If there is much more flashbacks I will drop it from my list. I was enjoying it from disc one but was already a bit peeved off with the flash backs and I Stick in disc 2 and the very begging is a flashback. I am just very excited to see what all this on the island is about so going back to pointless things about who they are and showing them boarding the plane..is very boring. I actually had to put the disc off last night and put something else in, the flashbacks were annoying me...far too many of them- Was this review helpful to you?

Don't bother renting this with LOVE FiLM!
By elrichios (4 reviews) from Solihull , 03 Nov 20104 times in a row I was sent a random disk from the series. Despite complaining each time, they gave me an extra rental, but continued to send disks in random order. In fact, I have still not seen disk 1 and have removed the series from my list. VERY DISAPOINTING!!- Was this review helpful to you?

An Astonishing Opening
By Aulis (12 reviews) from Wells , 29 May 2010Now Lost has recently finished totally, it's a good time to look back at how it all started. Is Lost the greatest television series ever made? I'm not sure about that sweeping statement, but that's not to say it's certainly close. Please, I implore new customers not to listen to luke1984 with regard to the first season - while his argument about later series might be correct, it would be a travesty to miss out on such a beautifully shot, moving, funny, and clever show for the sake of a few poor episodes and one two many mysteries later on.
A brief word on the Blu-Ray itself - Lost has always been well shot, and this version of it really shows it off. While some of the early special effects are a little ropey, overall it looks fantastic and the Blu-Ray is an excellent example of the format.
In short, a must see. Definitely.- Was this review helpful to you?
