Alba & Rodriguez in talks to return for Machete sequel

Jessica Alba and Michelle Rodriguez are in talks to reprise their Machete characters for the film's upcoming sequel. The two actresses are close to signing on for Robert Rodriguez's action film, which will star Danny Trejo as the strong and silent titular character, according to website BloodyDisgusting.com. Alba played an immigration agent who falls for Machete while Rodriguez portrayed rebel leader Luz. The new movie, titled Machete Kills, will start shooting later this spring (12). Read more

Trekkies everywhere may have to set their faces to stunned after the man behind the new Star Trek movie, Lost creator JJ Abrams, reportedly said he is not making the film just for them. Lost and 300's Rodrido Santoro is the latest star to sign up for Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor's dark comedy I Love You, Phillip Morris, according to Digital Spy. The new Star Trek film has been delayed for a summer release and will not hit screens until May 2009.
