This was a good movie and the acting was really good as well. The storyline was predictable but okay and the intimate scene set a good example!
Having seen The Best Man, Brown Sugar and Disappearing Acts I'm kind of fed up with seeing the same people every time I pick a blackflick. It was good to see Denis Haysbert and Alfre Woodard, though as I've always admired their acting.
The movie is about a boy and girl aged about 11 who grow up as childhood sweethearts but break up in their adult life due, according to the guy (Omar Epps), to the fact that the girl (Sanaa Lathan) has such a passion for basketball that she doesn't have enough time for him. He dumped her rather cruelly and in an immature way.
Personally if it were real life I'd say she should have dumped him ages ago (too many mood swings) and carried on with Jason her prom date (Boris Kodjoe - much better looking anyway!). But then she got pretty moody herself sometimes so maybe they deserved each other!- Was this review helpful to you?

Hmmmm Ok

Will if anything this film ispired me to do some sits ups!
This film is watchable, however about 20 mins from the end I did find my mind wandering and losing interest in looking at the screen.
I am sure I have seen this story line in quiet a films now and with the same leading actress too.
Good points, the film flows nicely and is true to life.
