The Star is The Duck!By poet40 (15 reviews) , 12 Jan 2013This film is clearly a low budget enterprise. However, this makes for a refreshing change from polished American alternatives. The absolute star of the film is the duck. The tame story line line pulls out a few surprises towards the end - together with some breath-taking views. If you want a taste of NZ countryside, then this film certainly obliges. Otherwise, this is a warm and gentle romantic comedy. Its one downfall might be that it is perhaps a little too long to support the somewhat predictable plot line. Otherwise, thoroughly enjoyable if not always engaging.
Loveable film, and not made in the US of A for a changeBy a customer , 14 Jul 2012Very enjoyable and fun film, and not the usual American stuff too...filmed in New Zealand. A great rom com and would recommend.
This is a great family movieBy a customer , 03 Mar 2012I loved this feel good film. The setting of Auckland, NZ, was something very different and original. Unique 'kiwi' perspective on life and behaviour. The duck was clever too.
