I loved this film mainly because I've been a hugh fan of The Judds since 1984 when they first started. So for all you country and western fans out there this film its ideal. It's only a low budget American TV film so don't expect the works, but still enjoyable to watch.

It's not that this movie is bad, it's just not amazingly good. You start with the expectation of a movie that explores the life The Judd women led in more depth than you can read in any online biography. Alas, it's not so. More time is taken up by them just singing for the family, at auditions, in clubs, on the road etc than anything else.If you were to remove all the singing the movie probably wouldnt even be half as long. It would seem someone forgot to tell the writers that the music was readily available on cd. Thank the Lord its good music!! i just might have lost my mind otherwise.

If you dont know anything about The Judds (Wynona and her mom - also mother to actress Ashley Judd) then watch this because it's enjoyable and inspiring since it follows a real life rags-to-riches tale of a family of amazing women. If you know about them and are looking for MORE then dont bother, just read their autobiographies.....
