    Nice, but that's it

If you liked the OVA series of Love Hina, then you'll like the Spring Special. Much like the anime, it is largely based on reshuffled events from the manga, though it is a bit over-wacky, and has some odd melodramatic moments. Bad sides include disappointing animation and strange character design (perhaps ratings were falling and they decided to change the girls', um, proportions.) Also, the music can be a bit disappointing.

Overall, it is pleasant, but not excellent.
