If you liked the OVA series of Love Hina, then you'll like the Spring Special. Much like the anime, it is largely based on reshuffled events from the manga, though it is a bit over-wacky, and has some odd melodramatic moments. Bad sides include disappointing animation and strange character design (perhaps ratings were falling and they decided to change the girls', um, proportions.) Also, the music can be a bit disappointing.
Overall, it is pleasant, but not excellent.
The spring special is a good follow on from where Vol 6 left off it continues the storyline with the same sort of humour that you enjoy from previous episodes and where it finishes hints at possibly a second series?
Irritating. Quite a poor dub too. The series is much, much better. Worth a miss.

This must be the worst Love Hina special I ever seen! Not only there was a bad plot but the singing on a number of occassion was incredibly irritating. Love Hina fans beware!
