Loved the series and had forgotten what a good actor Adam Faith was. First time I had seen the series as I'd missed it when shown on TV. I thought the storylines in Series 1 & 2 were very good & acting too was brilliant but I thought that by the 3rd Series they had started to 'lose the plot'. However, it did tie up all the ends by the last two stories and overall I really enjoyed it. Well worth watching.
Taking place in the Eighties at the height of Thatcherism and the emerging changes in Eastern Europe this series is clearly of its time. Nevertheless it explores issues that are still relevant today working parents, juggling childcare issues. The central characters played by the late Adam Faith and Zoe Wannamaker are excellent along with a strong supporting cast. Very watchable.
