A funny film for Hong Kong people
By a customer from Leicester England , 21 Oct 2005[Highly rated reviewer]
People who understand Cantonese would find this film funny and entertaining. It is not possible for the English subtitle to translate humour relating to different accents within the region of Hong Kong. Native people who are from the New Territory part of Hong Kong has a different accent to those who live in the city.Humour also based on the different ways of life of country people and city folks. I am afraid if you are not from Hong Kong you would miss much entertaining aspect of this film.- Was this review helpful to you?

(5)loved this
By hazel dewar from Glasgow, Scotland , 02 Feb 2008This is a good old fashioned romcom, very funny and very well acted.
The outcome is a bit mushy as expected but the film is class.- Was this review helpful to you?

Enjoyable .... but!
By a customer from South Coast , 02 Nov 2007I enjoyed this film but was annoyed by the subtitles. I am very used to subtitles and they usually present no difficulty for me, in fact usually I don't even realize that I am reading them. This was not so with this film. The subtitles were far too fast, popping up and dropping off the screen before they could be read. As a consequence of this, of those that were watching the film with me, I was the only one who persisted to the end of the film.- Was this review helpful to you?

Rom Com Of Few Laughs.
By Ian Davies from Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales , 21 Feb 2007Tony Leung and Shu Qi star in this criminally boring romantic comedy. I should have known better when I saw Wong Jing's name on it, but I believed the star quality would win out..........
I was wrong.- Was this review helpful to you?

Take the money and run..
By adiw from Leicestershire , 01 Aug 2005Another day, another Shu Qi movie...
A somewhat lazy and contrived romantic comedy from The East, only the biggest fans of its two stars will gain any satisfaction from this unnecessary and indolent offering.
Shu Qi has certainly made better movies in this genre, you would be better off tracking down 'Love is not a game but a joke' and 'When I look upon the stars' before you choose this lacklustre offering.
It is watchable fluff and Shu Qi is as charming as ever, but it's all been done a thousand times before and a million times better.- Was this review helpful to you?
