Uncomfortably engaging
By kerbee from Norwich , 09 Feb 2005[Highly rated reviewer]
This thriller, dealing with the seedier side of sex, is uncomfortable viewing at times, but works, thanks to two strong central performances and a non cop-out ending. Engaging viewing, but not a film I'd likely watch again.- Was this review helpful to you?

(13)Funny
By Rach112 from Essex , 15 May 2006I couldnt work out if it was meant to be a thriller because i just found
it so funny. Didnt have a good story line at all and they could have made
this film much better.
Plus you only find out why it is a 18 right at the end. i would say its a funny "thriller" worth a look. See if it makes you laugh.- Was this review helpful to you?

Always Read The Instructions...
By a customer from Plymouth, England , 26 Mar 2006A movie like this is very much an acquired taste. I acquired it because I think the lead, Desmond Harrington, is one of the most awesome young actors around right now (catch him in The Hole, Ghost Ship, and especially in Wrong Turn). I was not disappointed with his turn in this movie either.
The tale it weaves leaps from heartbreaking to hilarious in an instant, and slowly begins to pile perversity upon perversity until the truly unexpected ending hits you in the gut. There's great support from Melissa Sagemiller and Rip Torn (who always sounds like he's being sarcastic even when he isn't) but this movie belongs to Harrington, who details how a life obsessed with order but ever-so-lonely can just tip over the balance into...
Well not to give anything away, but the acting and dry (as a desert) humour helps this effective and very creepy character piece shine.- Was this review helpful to you?

Strange
By Beefcake01 from northamptonshire , 01 Nov 2005This film should have not been good, but it was, not brilliant, but not as bad as you would expect. Worth a watch.....- Was this review helpful to you?

living doll
By a customer from cumbernauld , 30 Jun 2005I thoroughly enjoyed this film - I laughed out loud and gasped with horror! Well acted w with the largely unknown cast tongue firmly in their cheek! I was surprised by the ending I should have expected it, but was pleasantly satisfied by the overall picture. Watch this if you like your thriller with a dose of black humour- Was this review helpful to you?

Not Good
By a customer from England , 13 Apr 2005This film sounded better than it was. Very dull, the last ten minutes were the best.- Was this review helpful to you?
