Rivette revisits some of the themes of CELINE ET JULIE VONT BATEAU with a surprisingly young looking Chaplin and Birkin. Rivette is a bit of an acquired taste. You'll either find him charmingly Gallic and idiosyncratic or a wee bit irritating and dated.
