An interesting film this, set and filmed in New York with a mainly American cast and German/French crew. Adrien Brody is in typically kooky form prior to his Oscar winning turn in The Pianist.
Brody's character is a writer who scams foreign businessmen for kicks and inspiration. He then meets Claire (Ayanna) who is a talented student and she changes the course of his life.
What's interesting is the European indie flick feel with an American accent. The DVD extras total about 2 hours of cast interviews and out-takes, the like of which I've never seen on one DVD. US/Euro film collaborations certainly have the potential to make American film more progressive if this film is anything to go by!
