"A true comedy that has been kept in the vaults for the sake of political correctness." Indeed, this hugely successful 1970s TV comedy, in hindsight, sought to mock our own ignorance, intolerance and pervading racial stereotypes of other cultures, when a black family move in next door to the white family. Jack Smethurst plays Eddie Booth and Rudolph Walker his neighbour Bill Reynolds, whose often hilarious behaviour showed us that perhaps our own bigotted and blinkered views are absolutely laughable. The entire first series plus the pilot episode.
