A riotously funny nostalgia-fest of romantic laughs.
I remember watching this as a young teenager, it was a superb series, shown when there was still a lot of innocence about, it would not work now as there is so much swearing, nudity and sex shown on TV. Richard Beckinsale was a brilliant comedian, sadly missed, he would have become one of the greats of British TV.
... comes this offering starring Richard Beckinsale and Paula Wilcox. (before Risng Damp, Porridge and Man about the House). Jack Rosenthal was the writer and his wife Maureen Lipman appears in Episode 4. Not laugh out loud funny but well worth a look.
excellent comedy classic, great in its day.good cast funny humour, well worth a look.

Excellent comedy classic from the 70's. Although I've never seen this TV show b4 as I wasn't old enuff (born 1970 the year of production!) . Although I recall seeing the movie version some years ago on TV and I loved it!! So I thought I'd check out the origins and thought this was a piece of TV history, although others prob wud disagree? Good cast Maureen Lipman, Roy Barraclough to name drop, funny & humorous in places for the period. I think it's well worth a look if you're into classic British TV & sitcoms. Me I'm going to HMV etc to purchase me own copy of this gem!
