This is a great account of how Robert Altman worked on some of Raymond Carver's short stories adapting and combining them tomake the wonderful movie SHORT CUTS. The documentary LUCK, TRUST AND KETCHUP shows that Carver's widow the poet Tess Gallagher thoroughly approved Altman's adaptation even though it made substantial changes to the originals. The documentary includes fascinating interviews with the actors and reveals a great deal about Altman's unique directorial methods.- Was this review helpful to you?
