Cards on the table... its not really worth a gamble...

If you can watch approx 1 hour 40 minutes of poker playing, with 15 minutes of sort of rom-com added its for you, if not it really really will wear you down.

It is sort of good enough, but there is just way way too much poker playing going on to make this anything like entertaining. I know nothing whatsoever about playing the tables, and after this I don't feel like I have missed out on much. You could give this one a miss.

    Calling all Poker Players

This is an ok Rom Com but where it shines is as being the best Poker movie since Rounders. You will lose count of the number of Poker stars that Cameo in this film its like an invitation only night at Full Tilt Poker also manages to capture some of the glory and pain of the game.

    Poker Mania

This film starts off quite poor and slow, but then you warm to the characters and things start to pick up.

I will say this though, if you don't like Poker then this is NOT for you.

Storyline wasn't too bad and the acting wasn't that bad either.

Overall I thought this film was quite good and enjoyed it, especially trying to the name all of the Poker stars in this film.

This film is one for the Poker Maniacs.

    Its No rounders but...

Its no rounders by far but the poker theme is a good backing to love story. Usual type of love relationship story so if you like 'music and lyrics' 'lake house' etc and you like poker then its a good film if there isnt anything else to watch as it keeps you entertained enough to keep you interested

Great movie if you like poker/slower music

Great movie, great soundtrack (especially the new dylan song). It's a fairly typical romantic comedy menu, with a lot of poker playing thrown in. If you like poker playing, it's great, but as you see from the other reviews, if you're not a card fan, pass on this one. There's too much card psychology for you. In America everyone appears to be getting into watching texas hold 'em and this movie capitalizes on it.

    Dreadful

Only watch this if you LOVE poker. The cast is completly wasted on this film, there is zero chemistry between Eric Banner and Drew Barrymore, (but that's hardly surprising as they are only together for about 5 minutes of the film) and the poker scenes just go on & on & on & on.......

    Terrible

If i wasnt sitting on a plane bound for oz i would have walked out on this flick. With Banner and Barrymore and a massive poker pro cast, you would expect good things.

Rounders made the game elite. This was like an idiots guide to poker.
