A Fitting farewell to old friends
By carlosreddevil (116 reviews) from Risca , 01 Jul 2006[Highly rated reviewer]
This fantastic DVd contains one of the best episodes of MASH 'Goobye, Farewell and Amen' which sees our Army Hospital favourites Hawkeye, Hotlips, Charles, BJ and all saying goodbye as the Korean war comes to an end. It'll make you laugh and cry, watched by a then record of 50 million viewers, this really is a fitting end to one of the greatest American series ever. A MUST for any fans of MASH.- Was this review helpful to you?

(5)The end
By a customer , 03 Feb 2013I have just seen the last disc of M. A. S. H. Such a well written and casted series. It has all the emotions of the human, showing how war is destructive, but within that destruction there is construction in the shape of people putting up with difficult behaviour from others and getting on with putting physically damaged people together. It is not a comedy although there are funny moments. It is very serious and anti - war. It is not based on a formula. It also shows that although some of the protagonists make close friendship, there is doubt whether they will remain so back home after the war. It was cleverly ended. I shall miss them. It was well worth watching.- Was this review helpful to you?

M*A*S*H - still a smash
By Flumpet (3 reviews) from Chelmsford , 13 Mar 2008Why isn't this iconic comedy repeated on TV. Surely this is the best written and acted sitcom of all time. It wipes the floor with inferior immitators. Never seen M*A*S*H- give yourself a treat and start at series one and build up to the emotional, funny and poignant ending. A real 'must see'.- Was this review helpful to you?
