Most helpful review
No more Frank Burns!
By John from Highlands of Scotland , 30 Jun 2005[Highly rated reviewer]
It just isn't the same without him, you know you want to hate him, but you miss him from the very beginning. The series becomes more political from the outset, Alan Alda becoming much more involved in the production. As a youngster this series was when I started watching MASH but having watched series 1 - 5 on DVD it almost seems like the newer members of the cat are out of place. However, still the best American comedy (?) ever made. It is a shame you cannot remove the canned laughter from this DVD unlike earlier volumes- Was this review helpful to you?

(5)Long live MASH
By a customer from UK , 24 Oct 2008I am a confessional addict!
I can laugh my sides until they ache. I can actually cry real tears.
I feel like I'm being treated to every acting style, every story type, all styles of emotion.
Never treat MASH as just a comedy - it's the absolute best in what real sit-coms should always be.
Incredible as usual- Was this review helpful to you?

Worth watching
By Becky from Norwich, Norfolk , 02 Apr 2006I remember my Dad watching these when I was little. I thought maybe my sense of humour may have changed and I wouldn't find them funny now. How wrong I was. The antics of the hospital unit in Vietnam during the war are fun to watch.- Was this review helpful to you?
